Good and Bad Results

First the good

I am just watching Bloomberg TV and see that Apple have released the 3rd quarter results and they have surpassed all expectations. The figures are very impressive.

Toyota has ratcheted up the race among leading carmakers to produce the first commercially viable “plug-in” hybrid car by unveiling a prototype model based on its popular Prius petrol-electric hybrid. Don't have a picture

The Bad

For those of you who do not know yet. It is flooding in some parts of the country in a time period which we are supposed to be enjoying the sun. Infact the most bizzarre thing is we might have had our summer way back in April, which was very warm and sunny for that time of year.

Mike Ashley, the unconventional entrepreneur behind Sports Direct International, and Britain's 25th Richest man, cannot seem to be able to buy any good PR at the moment. He has grown his business over the past years and is even looking to buy Everlast, the boxing and gym equipment maker. In addition to that investment, he recently acquired Newcastle United Football club.

A recent meeting with City (London) analysts left people describing the meeting as “farcical”, The shares for Sports Direct floated at 300p earlier this year and now they are worth less than half that.

Woof!! More money more problems
