Please note that I am not attributing partisan principles to this great speech. No! What I am saying is that the guiding principles that actually guide the black vote and political stance are conservative.
The weird thing is the only chance of Obama being elected is on a Democrat ticket, but he is very much conservative. Listen to the speech below.

I suppose they are also for the children and good health? No doubt, they support prosperity and morality too...Come on. All politicians put this stuff in their stump speeches. I mean, does one really think liberals are unpatriotic? Or for goodness sake, that they don't believe in education? Or environmental issues? Who are we kidding here! Some of this stuff, they are the ones leading the charge. In all cases though, all politicians believe in these things; differently. And that's why people should vote...for whom they agree with.
Hey, theses are the values that have always been linked with conservative politics. OK! Granted patriotism and freedom of speech are non starter issues but whenever a politician is discussing or appearing to be a proponent of the issues mentioned above then he/she is actually coming down the fence on the conservative side.
Well, I don't want to get into a bog argument but, I believe if we're going to nitpick which issues belong to which political philosophy, we'd have to say that education, labour, environmental issues and freedom of speech are more liberal than they are conservative. Even recently, the conservatve Supreme Court just ruled against a student in a freedom of speech case which the liberal minority justices wrote an opinion in favour of the plaintiff.
As for education, clearly most universities (and educational institutions) have a liberal bent. That's why the quality of education is good! Otherwise we'd have more of Jerry Fallwell's Liberty Universities which say the world is 6000 years old and that they have genuine 3000 year-old dinosaur bones...Can you say cuckoo?
I won't even go into environmental issues.
As for labour, let's just say one thing; unions, fair pay, reasonable hours, benefits (okay, that's more than one thing!). Regardless of what one thinks of the above, they are favoured by most workers and I think these were liberal-initiated and remain conservative-opposed and therefore, are other good things liberals support.
